I am a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and am licensed in good standing with The College of Naturopaths of Ontario. I am also a licensed Registered Nurse and completed the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, with Honours, at the University of Toronto, as well as my Critical Care Certificate through George Brown College. I currently hold memberships with the Ontario Nursing Association, and the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) and RNAO-Complementary Therapies Nurses' Interest Group.
Throughout my years working in the conventional health care system, I have come to understand that sometimes the conventional health care approach, although invaluable, can sometimes leave patients feeling fragmented and frustrated. With an evidenced-based, person-centred approach, I utilize natural healing therapies to help my patients return to optimal health--in body, mind, and spirit.
Aside from being a member of the Southlake community for 14 years, I have treated a variety of patients in many diverse settings including the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, Sherbourne Health Centre, Brampton Naturopathic Teaching Clinic at Brampton Civic Hospital, an externship with Dr. Paul Richard Saunders, PhD, ND, and have had additional training in naturopathic pediatric care.
My love for travel has also taken me to rural First Nations communities and Peru where I helped to deliver primary health care, and to Nicaragua to provide Naturopathic medicine with Natural Doctor's International. I have also attended a week-long intensive training in Germany on the use of German complex homeopathics and basic German iridology with Pascoe Canada.
I have a special interest in heart health and strongly advocate for better awareness of women's heart health and their unique risk factors. I also maintain a general family practice treating patients of all ages. My mission is to integrate the best of both worlds to help awaken and guide your innate capacity to heal—body, mind, and spirit. I look forward to meeting you and helping you along your journey to wellness!
